Started in the late 90s in Northern Virginia, Academy One Goalkeeping has grown into the premier goalkeeper training program in the Washington DC area. Founding Director Edward Brown recognized a need for a change in goalkeeper education developed a scientific and holistic approach to goalkeeping that has resulted in placing over 300 goalkeepers in college programs over the last 25 years. We have a 100% success rate in finding college placement opportunities for our goalkeepers. Former Academy One members have won an Olympic Gold Medal, made over 100 national team appearances, played almost 80 professional seasons, and well over 500 college seasons at all levels. 

With the partnership of Howard Goalkeeping and Academy One, members have the opportunity to utilize our college placement services, attend the best goalkeeper camp in the country every summer, and tap into our extensive network of current college and professional coaches.
